Traffic Alerts

• New: There will be a total closure of Prospect Street between Shelby Street and Morris Street from November 22 at 2:00 p.m. until November 23 at 2:00 a.m. for the Tonic Ball.
• New: There will be a total closure of South Street between West Street and Capitol Avenue on November 24 between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for Colts vs. Lions Touchdown Town.
• Traffic on the northwest quadrant on Monument Circle is now reopened.
  • SPARK Holidays on the Circle will be set up within barriers on the northwest quad until January 11.
  • The SPARK concessions trailer and restrooms will be moved to the NW Quad along the bollards until December 23.

Local Street Closures

• There will be a total closure of the intersection at Pine Street and Market Street until November 29 for sewer structure repair.
  • Local traffic will have access to Pine Street and Market Street up to 20 degree offset to the intersection
• A full closure of Illinois Street between South Street and Georgia Street.
  • The closure of this segment has been extended to the week after Thanksgiving to allow for the relocation of utility lines required ahead of the Signia by Hilton construction.
  • The detour will route cars to circle in a loop south on Capitol Avenue and north on Meridian Street. Cross streets at South Street and Georgia Street are open.
• Multiple partial closures are in place until further notice for the CSX building construction:
  • Georgia Street south lane between Scioto Street and Pennsylvania Street. There will be a single travel lane from Pennsylvania Street to South Street.
  • Scioto Street between Louisiana Street and Georgia Street.
  • The project is anticipated to take 35 months until completion

North Split Updates

• Restrictions are in place until further notice on Washington Street from East Street to Southeastern Avenue.
  • Once Washington Street paving is complete crews will begin placing pavement markings.

Indiana University Health Closures

• Closures for new hospital construction for the week of November 18:
  • Intermittent restrictions are expected along 16th Street and Capitol Avenue. Increased truck traffic is expected due to concrete pours and material deliveries.
  • Partial closure of the west side of Capitol Avenue between 14th Street and 16th Street will be in place. Southbound traffic will be detoured to Meridian Street.
• Closures for construction activities until further notice:
  • Full closure on Senate Avenue between 12th Street and 16th Street.
• Closure for South Support Building construction:
  • Partial closure of Capitol Avenue between 13th Street and 14th Street due to construction operations.
    • 14th Street between Capitol Avenue and Byram Place is restricted to construction traffic only.
• Closures for Central Utility Plant construction until further notice:
  • Full closure of 13th Street between Senate Avenue and just west of the Starbucks entrance.
  • Intermittent lane impacts along 12th Street between Senate Avenue and Capitol Avenue due to material deliveries.
• Closures for AES substation construction until further notice:
  • Intermittent impacts along Senate Avenue and along Senate Boulevard south of 20th Street are expected due to underground utility work.
